Littleton Public Schools believes that parents are key partners in their child's education. As the person who best knows their child's needs, interests, and strengths, your participation is critical to your child's educational success.
One support that is available to parents is the District Special Services Advisory Committee, or SSAC. This group is primarily composed of parents of students with disabilities. The group meets monthly to advise the District on special education areas of priority and to provide support and training for parents of students with disabilities. This includes recommendations to the District regarding the needs of children with disabilities and their parents, provision of workshops for parents in a variety of topic areas, and dissemination of information regarding special education programs and community resources.
