Haihe High School was founded in 1895 and has an important role in modern Chinese history. We visited the museum inside the school and saw artifacts from their very important past. I can remember the first bell used to call students to school that now greets visitors at the door and an amazing electric light bulb dating back nearly 100 years! The museum has photos of great scholars, scientists and leaders who attended the school before beginning famous careers. But rather than me trying to tell you how special Haihe High School really is, I'd like to invite students of the school to post comments in english about why Haihe is so wonderful.
Lisa Sabey and I visited Haihe High School with Steve Tam last June. The caligraphy scroll you see on the last slide was the beautiful gift of Haihe High School to the Littleton Public Schools Board of Education. It is displayed in the entry for all visitors to see when they come to meet our Board:
So, to my friends in Tianjin, please tell our students in Littleton, Colorado and the United States... what do you think is the most important thing we should know about Haihe High School? We would enjoy reading your english as well as following your links to web pages with pictures.

Re: Greetings to Haihe High School
Looks like it's been almost four long months since the last posting. Too bad there aren't more communications going on between the two schools. In order for the relationship to develop beyond what I see here, teachers and parents need to play a role in the program. I don't mind playing an active role in moving this relationship forward. However, I can not do it alone. Actually, I wonder if anyone would even see this message. Happy Easter ! 请明节快乐!
