Where will current Ames students attend school next fall?

Ames Elementary students who live north of Easter Avenue will attend Peabody Elementary next fall.  Ames Elementary students who live south of Easter Avenue will attend Franklin Elementary next fall.

LPS will continue to offer transportation to all families who meet current transportation guidelines.  Bus routes will change to accommodate Ames and Whitman students attending different schools.  This information will be sent to Ames and Whitman families as soon as details have been finalized.

Students who are currently optionally and open enrolled at Ames may choose to attend Peabody or Franklin and be guaranteed a place at one of these schools, depending upon space availability at each grade level and adequate resources for special needs students.   Please know that choice continues to be a high priority in LPS at all of our schools.
