Welcome to the Littleton Public Schools Online Application Process.


 If you are using Window 8 and Internet Explorer 10 your browser must be in "compatibility mode." To turn on compatibility mode, follow the five steps below.  

  • Read the application instructions and attachment requirements on this page
  • Scroll down and click on the Apply Now button
  • The Applicant Online URL will populate for you in your address tool bar
  • Click on the compatibility mode icon (broken paper) in the search bar on the right side  
  • Compatibility mode icon turns blue to indicate website processing in compatibility mode

Licensed In-District Transfer Process
 

Licensed employees who wish to move to another building or department (In-District transfer) must utilize the Applicant Online system. Only currently employed licensed staff are eligible for In-District transfer. (A licensed employee who has received notice of non-renewal is not to utilize the In-District transfer process.)

Licensed employees interested in a transfer to another building must complete the transfer application through Applicant Online in order to be considered. The In-District transfer information is on "Employee Online." Your LDAP Connection User ID number is your BusinessPLUS ID number. Positions posted for In-District transfer are located on the "Applicant Online-Internal" tab. Positions are posted internally for one full week and then they are posted externally for the public to access.

In-District transfers are available to licensed staff only. Administrative and Classified employees wishing to apply for a job at a different building MUST complete a new application through Applicant Online.

Requirements

Administrative and Licensed applicants are required to submit a resume, transcripts, and three letters of reference. The letters of reference must be within the last five years.  Administrative and Licensed applicants should also attach a copy of their current license.

All Classified applicants applying for the following positions must attach the documentation outlined below.

All English as a Second Language (ESL), Special Education, and Title I Paraprofessional applicants must provide documentation which verifies one of the following: 48 hours of college credit, an A.A. degree or higher, or a passing score on the WorkKeys Assessment. If WorkKeys exam is taken, a copy of high school diploma must be provided.

All employees are required to be fingerprinted at the time of hire and will have the fingerprint fee deducted from their paycheck. If you are hired as a classified or licensed substitute, you are required to pay the $39.50 fingerprinting fee (cash, checks or money order only) at the time of hire.

Completing the Application

When completing the application, please note the following:

  • To return to a page you have already completed, click on the page number in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Three references are required before you will be able to proceed to the next page in the application.
  • Student teaching experience must be included in work history.
  • Click on Finish Later to save an incomplete application. To complete the application at a later time, login, click on the Applications tab, click on resume application.
Linking into Applicant Online

Click on the link below to View Open Positions. If there are no job listings, please check back periodically. This list is updated daily.

Important data retention information for all applicants. Please read before logging into your application.

Be very careful to complete your first application - make sure that your information is accurate before you click "Apply".  Once you have submitted the application, you cannot make any changes or additions to that application. In addition, this is the information that will be retained for subsequent applications.

Do not begin to apply for a second "Open Position" posting until you have completed the first application. Information is retained only after your first application is completed and submitted.

Once you have submitted your first application, subsequent applications will contain all the information from that application. To complete your application, all administrative and licensed applicants are required to attach a resume, transcripts, three letters of reference, and a copy of their current license.

The Finish Later function in the software DOES NOT SAVE data. To save your data please click on Next and then click on Finish Later. Moving to the next page in the application will save the data from the previous page.

To change your Profile information, simply click on this link to open the Applicant Online window. Click on the My Information tab and login to Applicant Online. Save your changes by clicking on SAVE in the lower right hand corner.

To view and apply for open positions, click on the Open Positions tab. All positions with a closing date of 12/31/2050 will be open until filled.

To add an attachment, click on the My Information tab and then the Attachment tab.

 

 

Employment Process

Following a successful interview and reference checks, a supervisor may request in writing that a conditional offer of employment be given to the candidate. This request form is forwarded (or hand carried) to the employment technician in the human resources office at the Education Services Center, along with the necessary Employment Change Notification (ECN) form.

All classified employees will be required to have fingerprinting done prior to beginning work. Fingerprinting costs are $39.50, which will be deducted from the employee's first paycheck.

Some classified positions require a physical, which will be set up by the employment technician and paid for by the school district, providing the employee remains employed 90 days or more.

All new employees are required to show two forms of identification, such as a social security card and drivers license or passport. All new employees will be required to attend an orientation session to complete payroll forms.

New employees scheduled to work over 20 hours per week, will also attend an orientation session to complete the forms necessary to activate their benefits, i.e., insurance, etc.
