Nancy Knight wins national Literacy Promotion Award

Nancy Knight, LPS teacher of the visually impaired, was recently awarded the Literacy Promotion Award by the Daughters of the American Revolution at the national level. She was presented with the award this past June in Washington D.C. Knight was awarded for her recount of her travels to Kabala, Sierra Leone in the summer of 2010. She, along with one of her visually impaired students, travelled to Kabala to help build a school for the blind.
