The Littleton Public Schools are transitioning to the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The Colorado Academic Standards were adopted by the state of Colorado in December 2009. In August of 2010, Colorado joined 44 other states in adopting the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and for Mathematics. Both sets of standards reflect 21st Century learning and college and career readiness skills. By 2013-2014, most content areas across K-12 in LPS will be implementing these new standards. As LPS transitions to these new standards, you are welcome to access them on the CDE website and at the Common Core State Standards website. The current LPS curriculum guides will be replaced as the standards are implemented.
