On September 24, 2010 we presented our first Board report of the school year regarding the Inspired Writing project.  Please find below the embedded presentation:





In the bar charts, you will see two lines, one green and the other purple.  The green line represents the trend of achievement, in terms of the percentage of proficient and advanced CSAP scores, for the 4th grade students in 2010 as compared to their own group's scores during 3rd grade in 2009.  The purple line similarly represents the trend of percentage of proficient and advanced CSAP scores for 5th grade students in 2010 as compared to their 4th grade scores in 2009.

This particular comparison is one way to look at achievement data and we must be careful not to draw too many conclusions.  The purpose of the series of charts is to look for a net effect of the program recognizing that any one school's result will necessarily be a result of wide array of factors.  But comparing the change in achievement percentage for 5th graders...
