LPS educates about 15,500 students in Grades K–12. There are 13 elementary schools (K–5), four middle schools (6–8), and three high schools (9–12). LPS also offers three alternative education schools and two charter schools (K–8).  Many options for preschool and either half- or full-day kindergarten are available.
