The Superintendent has responsibility for carrying out, through supplementary regulations and directives, the policies established by the Board of Education. Policies approved by the Board of Education and the regulations and directives developed by the administration to implement policies shall be designed to achieve an effective and efficient school system. District employees are expected to abide by them.

Administrators are responsible for informing staff members in their divisions, departments, and buildings of existing policies, regulations, and directives and for seeing that they are implemented. Disregard for Board of Education policies, regulations, and directives may be interpreted as insubordination and/or willful neglect of duty.
