Equipment, Supplies and Textbook Replacement Fees
Damaged or lost instructional articles shall be replaced by the student responsible for them. The individual school price list shall be used in establishing replacement fees based on the list price and depreciated according to the depreciation schedule.
Depreciation Schedule for the Replacement of Instructional Articles
Textbooks
During the first year of school—100 percent of list price
During the second year—80 percent of list price
During the third year—60 percent of list price
During the fourth year and thereafter— 40 percent of list price
Fines for damaged books shall be levied by the building principal and based upon the damage and the age of the book.
The book fines shall be those currently adopted and published.
Other Instructional Articles
Depreciation schedules shall be predicted upon a reasonable replacement cost based upon consideration for the age and condition of the article.
