Disposal of Obsolete Textbooks:
Communication will be sent to other schools offering obsolete textbooks to be used as supplementary materials by teachers in the District.
All textbooks remaining must be stamped on the inside cover with “obsolete” stamp available from purchasing office.
A District Disposal Request Form identifying remaining textbooks must be signed by building administrator and sent to District purchasing specialist who will:
Contribute to appropriate charitable or educational agencies.
Sell to publishing companies.
Recycle when appropriate.
Discard.
