Littleton Public Schools Policy

The Littleton Public Schools Board of Education provides student screening processes and standardized testing for the purposes of appropriate student placement in instructional programs and for monitoring growth in student learning. Parent/guardian requests for additional testing of District students will be honored based on the following reasons:

      Assessment for early kindergarten/first grade enrollment.

      Assessment for grades not tested in the District’s program when a student’s test data file is incomplete.

      Assessment of home study students.

      Assessment for delay of enrollment.

      Assessment for other appropriate purposes.

Criteria: All direct and indirect costs for such additional assessment will be borne by the parent/guardian and will include the cost of materials, scoring costs, and hourly costs for administration.

The District will establish the assessment dates and sites. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the assessment sites.

The District will select the assessment instruments/processes.
