Salaries

Teacher and administrator salaries and policies governing salaries shall be recommended to the Board by the Superintendent and adopted annually by the Board.

 

Extracurricular Compensation

Licensed staff members who are given extracurricular assignments over and above the duties associated with their regular teaching assignments shall receive supplementary salary consideration according to the “Extracurricular Compensation Schedule” as adopted annually by the Board.

 

Payroll Distribution

Employees shall be paid on the 20th of each month. When the 20th falls during a holiday or weekend, payday shall be the last working day preceding the holiday or weekend. All staff shall be paid on the twelve-month basis in twelve equal installments. Employees are strongly encouraged to participate in the direct deposit method for payroll checks.

 

Fractional Pay

For the purpose of figuring additions to salary and/or fractional year contracts, the number of contract days shall be used to determine the daily rate of salary. For employees other than teachers (i.e., counselors, media specialists), the number of workdays shall be determined according to contractual agreement for each category.
