When a person is hired on a regular, full-time basis, the Board considers that it has given full-time employment. It therefore expects all employees to give the responsibilities of their positions in the District precedence over any type of nondistrict employment.

Nondistrict employment by a staff member is of concern to the Board insofar as it may:

       Prevent the employee from performing position responsibilities in an effective manner.

       Be prejudicial to effectiveness in the position.

       Be in conflict of interest.

Therefore, an employee will not:

       Accept nondistrict employment during regular working hours or at times that would interfere with fulfilling the responsibilities of the position held with the District.

       Use any District facilities, equipment, or materials in performing nondistrict employment.
