Kindergarten Transfer Students From State Department Accredited School Districts

Kindergarten students moving into the District from other state department accredited school districts who do not meet the District entrance age (five (5) years of age on or before September 15 of the current year) shall be admitted only upon fulfillment of the following:

       Presentation of documentary evidence of birth (birth certificate, baptismal record);

       Presentation of attendance slip from the previous school attended showing at least forty-five (45) days attendance in a kindergarten accredited by a state department of education;

       Presentation of a statement of satisfactory achievement, emotional stability, and social adjustment from the teacher of the previous school, accredited by a state department of education, attended;

       Placements shall be made on a probationary basis. Permanent placement is subject to satisfactory achievement and approval of the principal.

 

First Grade Transfer Students From State Department Accredited School Districts

First grade students moving into the District from other school districts who do not meet the District entrance age requirement (six (6) years of age on or before September 15 of the current school year) shall be admitted only upon fulfillment of the following:

       Presentation of documentary evidence of birth (birth certificate, baptismal record);

       Show evidence of having attended a kindergarten accredited by a state department of education for a full year or having at least forty-five (45) days attendance in first grade;

       Presentation of a report of achievement from the school, accredited by a state department of education, previously attended. This report must indicate passing work;

       All placements will be made on a probationary basis. Permanent placement is subject to satisfactory achievement and approval of the principal.
