All children between the ages of five and twenty-one years, who reside within the boundaries of this District may be permitted to attend public schools without payment of tuition. Students must either reside with a natural parent, legal guardian, or custodian who is a legal resident of the District, reside in a foster home, or show adequate evidence of permanent residence, or be found to be homeless in accordance with state legal requirements.
In addition, persons who do not reside in the District may be admitted under Board of Education policies relating to nonresident students or by specific action of the Board of Education.
Acceptable documentary evidence of year and date of birth shall be required for all students entering school in the District for the first time.
Students moving into the District from other districts shall be required to present evidence of attendance, grade placement, and academic achievement in the previous school.
Students enrolling after the beginning of a school year shall follow the same procedure as other enrollees in regard to fee payment, physical examinations, and registration procedures.
Physical Examinations
All students new to the District, including kindergarten students and first graders shall be urged to have a physical examination and to submit a report from the examining physician on a form provided by the District.
