The Board is greatly appreciative of public interest in and good will toward the schools manifested through gifts and donations.

A written description of donated items valued at an amount equal to or greater than the District’s fixed asset inventory level ($5,000) and the proposed use of such gifts should be submitted to the Board of Education through the Superintendent or his/her designee. Gifts may not be used prior to Board, Superintendent, or Superintendent designee approval.

When a gift or donation has been accepted by the Board, it shall become the property of the District and all decisions regarding its maintenance will be made by the Board. Only in case of an emergency or retirement of a facility will donations be moved to another site for use.
