Arapahoe High School Jazz Musicians and Combo

Recognized at Mile High Jazz Festival

Littleton, Colorado – The Arapahoe High School Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs, under the direction of Dr. Ed Cannava, has been recognized with a Mile High Jazz Festival Outstanding Plaque Award. Senior lead trumpeter, Matt Kenfield, was also recognized with a plaque award. Three Arapahoe Jazz I musicians were selected to the Mile High Jazz Festival All Star Band: Mike Graziano, senior lead trombonist; Russ Balli, sophomore lead alto saxophonist; and Matt Kenfield. A full tuition scholarship to this summer’s Mile High Jazz Camp, in Boulder, was also awarded to Matt Kenfield.

The All Star Band will perform at the annual Colorado Bandmasters Association Convention in July, and will be featured on KUVO’s “Live at the Oasis: High School/Collegiate Radio Show.”
