Arapahoe Bands Selected to Perform at 2007 State Concert Band Festival

Centennial, Colorado---For the third year out of the last four, the Arapahoe High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band have been selected to perform in the prestigious CBA State Concert Band Festival. Performances will take place at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts in Colorado Springs, on Tuesday, April 24^th. Only the top 18 bands were chosen to perform out of all Colorado High Schools who auditioned. Arapahoe is one of only three schools who had two or more bands selected to perform, and the only one with a marching band as part of their program.

Dr. Ed Cannava is Director of Bands at Arapahoe High School. Instructors include: Heather Jordon, Flute; Michael Vigliotti, Oboe; Debbie Torp, Bassoon: Heather Davis, Clarinet; Tait Solberg, Saxophone; Missy Steinbock, Trumpet; Ron Torp, Horn; Jeff Craig, Low Brass; Fred Bowlus, Percussion; and Brian Margrave, Student Teacher.
