AHS Dixie Dawgs to Perform at 2005 Sacramento Jazz Festival

Centennial, Colorado—The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs from Arapahoe High School have been invited to perform in the 32nd Annual Sacramento Jazz Jubilee over Memorial Day weekend (May 26-30). Only 16 youth bands have been selected to perform at this year’s Jubilee. Appearing at last year’s Jubilee were 128 bands, including professional bands from all over the world, and youth bands from British Columbia, California, Washington and Colorado. Over 150,000 jazz enthusiasts attended last year’s Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.

Members of the Dixie Dawgs include: Tricia Cannava, Clarinet; Ben Link, Tenor Sax; Bobby Cassara, Trumpet; Jeff Henton, Trombone; Tim Clarkson, Banjo; Jessica Swift, Piano; Ryan Foley, Bass and Sean Case, Drums.

The Dixie Dawgs need to earn a total of $1500 for their trip to the 2005 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.
