Arapahoe High School Jazz Musicians Recognized at 2004 Mile High Jazz Festival

Littleton, Colorado-The Arapahoe High School Jazz I Saxophone Section, under the direction of Director of Bands, Dr. Ed Cannava, and Saxophone Instructor, Laura Jones, has been recognized with a Mile High Jazz Festival Outstanding Performance Plaque Award. The Jazz I Sax Section includes: Tricia Cannava (Junior), Alto I; Shea Gilliam (Sophomore), Alto II; Ethan Turner (Junior), Tenor I; Ben Link (Junior), Tenor II; and Jake Dykes (Junior), Bari Sax. Junior lead tenor saxophonist, Ethan Turner, was also recognized with a plaque award at the February 18th-20th Mile High Jazz Festival. Only two tenor saxophonists were recognized with performance awards over the three day festival. Eighty-two ensembles performed at this year's Mile High Jazz Festival.
