Arapahoe Winter Percussion Ensemble Wins Awards at State Championship

Littleton, Colorado-The Arapahoe High School Winter Percussion Ensemble placed 2^nd in the prestigious Concert World Class at the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association Championships at the C.U. Events Center on April 10, 2004. The percussion ensemble scored a season high 88.60 points. Fred Bowlus is the percussion instructor, and Doug Rosener composed the music entitled, “Out of Nowhere”. Arapahoe’s percussionists received silver medals for placing 2^nd at championships. Arapahoe also received the Most Improved Ensemble Award for showing the most growth from last year’s state competition to the year’s championships. Andrew Bentley and Lauren Maxwell are the percussion captains.
