Arapahoe Winter Percussion Ensemble Wins Silver Medals at Rocky Mountain Championship

Centennial, Colorado—The Arapahoe High School Winter Percussion Ensemble placed 2^nd in the prestigious Concert World Class at the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association Championships at the C.U. Events Center on April 9, 2005. The percussion ensemble scored a season high 90.95 points. Fred Bowlus is the percussion instructor, and Doug Rosener arranged music by Strunz and Farah. Arapahoe’s percussionists received silver medals for placing 2^nd at the championships.

Matt Clarkson assists with instructing the Arapahoe Percussion Ensemble. Jenny Breth and Sean Case are the percussion captains. Members of the Arapahoe Percussion Ensemble also include: Tim Clarkson, Alex Steinberg, Jenna James, Amy Bickel, Mike Wickwar, Ben Nelson, Gabby Miller, David Steinberg, Ryan Foley, Katie Cassara, Marielle Hendry, Mike Hargreaves and Mike Wilson. Dr. Ed Cannava is the band director at Arapahoe.
