Staff Development
The purpose of the Littleton Public Schools Staff Development Program is to ensure that staff members have the skills to effectively implement district professional goals. Classes are designed to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. Workshops are available which address new curriculum revisions and ensure ongoing organizational renewal. For effective change to take place it is recognized that personal awareness and change must be internalized and will be accomplished at different rates and by different methods. Classes are offered monthly covering a wide range of subjects.
Fees
Class fees range from $10 to $85. In some cases, classes do have an additional materials fee which is always noted in the course description and is payable at the first class. College credit may be obtained for an additional fee which varies from school to school.
Credit
Classes are offered for in-service credit with Littleton Public Schools or for college credit. Participants will receive a certificate of completion following the conclusion of the class. A participant may choose to receive either LPS or college credit. In-service classes are offered ranging from .5 to 3 credits. College credit classes will be offered for either 1 to 3 semester credit hours.
Cancellation Policy
Fees will be refunded if notification of cancellation is received one week prior to the start of the class, or if the class is canceled. Waiting lists are maintained to allow other participants interested in the class to enroll in the event of a canceled registration.
Registration
Registration is required for all classes. Please complete the applicable registration form, and return it to the proper department prior to the closing date. You may register online by completing the appropriate form.
Licensed personnel should return registration forms to the staff development office at the Education Services Center of Littleton Public Schools at 5776 S. Crocker St, Littleton, CO 80120.
