Out of 51 essays from high school and middle school students in LPS, five students from Arapahoe are winners of the 2016 Optimist Club of Littleton Essay Contest. The subject of this year's essay contest was "Lead by Example--Reality or Fiction."  AHS placed in positions one through three, and had two of the three tied for fourth. Students were honored at a Littleton Optimist Club breakfast meeting held April 15th, where they read their essays and received cash awards, certificates, and medallions. From left to right:  Kimberly Shelton, Julia Goncalves, Teacher Marlys Ferrill, Claire Jones, Lindsay Parsons, and Elizabeth ("Beth") Lebar.
