Micro worlds Geo
This project was done earlier in my 8th grade year. For this project I
had to create an object that I can control with buttons. This object,
the program calls a "turtle". I programmed my "turtle" to turn left,
right, move forward, make 4 shapes (triangle, square, hexagon, octagon)
, make four patterns, change color from and to either: green, blue, red
or black, do a combination of these things, and trace it's movements
with lines while doing so.

In what ways would you do things differently if you could do it over
again? |
If I were to do this again I would add loads more buttons so the turtle
did more.

Why is it important to include this piece in your portfolio?
|
It is important to put this Document in My Portfolio because, Micro
worlds programming is a basic skill at my grade. I have to know it to do
well in class.
Kiosk PowerPoint Project
This project was done not long before I made this web page. For this
project I had to choose a famous battle, and make as many slides as I
could, add lots of pictures and effects, and finish it off with Kiosking
(looping) the PowerPoint. For my battle I chose the battle of
Thermopylea, a battle in the Sparta-Persian war.

On scale of 1-10 I would give this an eight, this is because it was my
best PowerPoint when I had made it... but, I have made an even better
one since.

Why is it important to include this piece in your portfolio?
|
This project is important to put on here because it's not hard to do a
PowerPoint... until you're trying to add advanced special effects
without a script. Then it takes forever.
Name Emblem Motto
This was done just after the PowerPoint. For this project I had to
create a design, using Photo Shop Elements that included: My name, an
emblem and a quote. For my name I put my name in red and added a gold
ribbon behind it, then beveled the two. To do the emblem I made a banner
shape of red, then a gold colored shield, with a sun behind it. And
finally there is the motto or quote, for mine I did Dum Spiro Spero
(while I breath I hope).

In what ways would you do things differently if you could do it over
again? |
If I were to do this again, I would: fine tune the colors I used, edit
the shapes so they are more clean edged, and finally I would add 1 more
quote (do what you will but do no harm).

On a scale of 1-10, I give it a? |
On a scale of 1-10 I would give it an eight. This is because it is not
the best of my work but it is also not bad.
Sodium PowerPoint
And here is finally a project worth showing that I didn't do in
Computers class. This is a project I have only recently created. For
this project, I had to pick an element and make a PowerPoint and a skit
(I only have the PowerPoint on my computer so that all I can show you).
Anyway, first I started off with 24 slides of raw information and from
there an added picture affects and things I need for the skit.

In what ways would you do things differently if you could do it over
again? |
If I were to do this again first I'd start with the finished version
used in the final presentation, then I would add more information and
then more pictures.

Why is it important to include this piece in your portfolio?
|
It is important to put this in my portfolio because it is so far my best
PowerPoint, though that will only last until I have to make another.
Another reason is because it is a big part of my grade so I may as well
show it.

On a scale of 1-10 I give it a ten. As I said it is one of my better
pieces of work, and it is my best PowerPoint.
Perfect Vacation
Here is a project from last year that is worth showing. This project was
important because it is very useful to know how to use Excel especially
when balancing Checkbooks. For this I had to set up a vacation where
spend no more or less than $5,000.I spent these things on: Plane
Tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars, and the like.

Why is it important to include this piece in your portfolio?
|
It is important t put this piece in my portfolio because Microsoft Excel
is a basic skill that will be usefull.
This project was important because it is very useful to know how to use
Excel especially when you own a small business.

9. It met every expectation but it could have been better.
Photoshop Gif
This is a project I did about the same time as the "Name Emblem Motto"
Project. For this I had to follow a tutorial to create a gif. This Gif
would be a smiley face that sticks out its Tung and then winks.

In what ways would you do things differently if you could do it over
again? |
If I were to do this again I would find the bug that keeps the Gif from
working on the computer that made it (my computer).

On a scale of 1-10 I give this project a 9, this is because I could have
done better at debugging it.
