Culture Brochure- I chose this piece to
include in my portfolio because it includes a lot of information that I
found out about Australia. The brochure gives a lot of information about
Australia's culture and places a tourist can visit. This project met the
standard for the class because I included pictures that show the places
in Austrailia and I also included
information on every categorie that was required. If I could do this
project over again I would explain a little more about the sports and
type of foods (not just say the name of the sports and foods). I would
also spend a little more time on finding more detailed infromation. |

Oregon Trail Power Point-
I think the
strenghts of this project are the animations and the information. The
animations appear as I talk about each topic and I think the main
strenght of the animations is the wagon slide because the wagon comes in
as I introduce it and show arrows as I talk about the parts of the
wagon. The information gives a detailed look into the Oregon Trail.The main weakness of
this project was that the voice over does not flow well from slide to
slide. My voice also breaks a lot throughout the power point. By doing this assignment I learned how to do a voice over on a
power point and I also learned how to kiosk a power point. |

Horse Race-I feel really proud of this project
because I got all of the parts of the game to work. Some
challenges I had to deal with when making this project is making the start
flag and ready set go button to work. When I first added the start flag
it only made one of the animals go. I went back and found out the
problem and fixed it. When I first added the ready set go button it would
not reset any of the animals I later found out it was because I was
entering the command for the button in the wrong place. While doing this
project I learned how to make a game using Microworlds. |

Geometry-
By completing this project I
developed my skills for using Microworlds. I practiced making buttons
that told the turtle what color to turn, where to go, and what shapes to
make. If I could do this project over again I would fix the pentagon
button because it makes an extra design out to the side that is not
supposed to be there. |

Newspaper-
On a scale of 1-10 I give this project an 8
because I spent a lot of time on this project and I showed examples of
all of the different kinds of stories that appear in a newspaper. In
this project I'm most proud of the Westernaires feature story because I
spent a lot of time gathering the information and writing the story so
that it presented Westernaires in the best way. |

Volcanoes Brochure-
This project shows that my
understanding on the world around me has deepend because it shows how
much I have learned about volcanoes. I learned a lot about the different
types of volcanoes and how each type of volcanoe is formed. This
projects strength is the information because there are lots of
information on each type of volcanoe. This projects weakness is the
layout because it has a really simple layout. If I could do this project
over again I would change the layout so that it presents the information
in a better way that looks better. |

Matter Brochure-
By completing this project I
learned a lot about the different states of matter. The information
makes me feel most proud because I included a lot of detailed
information in the project. I'm also proud of the creative story because
it is creative and it shows what I know about matter at the same time. |
