  • Spring Conferences Updated Time!

    Spring Conferences Wednesday, March 6th,  4:15 - 7:15 p.m.   4:15-5:45 Scheduled Appointments 5:45-7:15 Open Schedule Second Semester Conferences are generally set aside for students who are not working to their full potential and are invite only.  However, anyone is welcome to make an appointment with their student's teachers and come to Conferences. Please check your student's grades to determine if your student needs a conference and email your student's teachers to request an appointment.  We encourage all students to be present with their parents.   8th grade teachers will be in their rooms during open block: Group conferences will be held in the Gulliford Suite   7th grade will be in the library for all appointments & conferences   6th grade will be in the Humanities Suites for all appointments & conferences   No School on Friday, March 8th

  • GMS Literacy Night

      Attention, Goddard families! It's time once again for Literacy Night, where the Language Arts department cordially invites all families to come to the school to have pizza for dinner, after which you will rotate through informative stations that highlight the importance of developing our students' Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary skills.    Being successful in the 21st century requires a keen understanding of literacy, so let us give you tips, tricks, and resources to help you navigate the world of words with your child. Come hungry for pizza and thirsty for knowledge!   WHEN: Tuesday, February 13 from 6:00pm -7:30pm   WHERE: Pizza and refreshments will be served in the school cafeteria for the first half hour, then attendees will be split into three groups for the remaining hour to rotate through literacy stations in the building   WHAT: Learn from Language Arts teachers about the importance of Writing (6th grade hallway), Vocabulary (7th grade hallway), and Reading (8th grade hallway)   WHO: Goddard students and any members of their families   HOW: It's free! Just bring yourselves! Come take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. We just ask that you kindly RSVP by visiting the school website to fill out a short Google form to indicate how many members of your family will be attending. This will help ensure we have enough pizza and refreshments for everyone!   Mark your calendars for February 13 from 6:00pm-7:30pm and we'll see you here at school!

  • 5th Grd. Parent Night

    Fifth Grade Parent Night has been rescheduled to January 30, 2024 Middle school in LPS is an opportunity for students to grow academically, emotionally, developmentally and socially. It is a time for students to try new things, explore new interests and broaden their world as 21st Century learners. Parents of current fifth graders, as well as parents of current middle schoolers who want to learn more about LPS’s middle school offerings, are invited to attend Fifth Grade Parent Night on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Littleton High School. There is no need to RSVP to this parents-only event. Come hear a presentation from LPS’s middle school principals and ask your questions!

  • Board of Education reviewing new K-5 Math instructional resources

    The K-5 Math Instructional Resource Review and Recommendation Committee members have completed their review of available K-5 Comprehensive Math instructional resources. The committee is recommending McGraw Hill’s Reveal Math K-5. These resources will support and enhance the daily math instruction of our K-5 students.  The instructional resources can be reviewed by following these steps: Go to the McGraw Hill website login  Username: LittletonRevealSE Password: MathStudent2024 The recommendation will be presented to the Board for discussion at the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting on April 11, 2024, and is scheduled for the Board to take action at its meeting on April 25, 2024.

  • Assessment Season is Here

    Beginning this week, students across Colorado will take the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS or CoAlt) in Grades 3–11.  These statewide assessments are considered an assessment of all students and are a part of our school accreditation and federal requirements. Make-up tests will be necessary for those absent; therefore, we request that you please try to avoid medical/dental and other appointments during testing times. For specific dates and times, please refer to schools’ websites. You can help your students perform their best by helping them get a good night’s sleep and ensuring charged testing devices as appropriate.   Check out more info as well as LPS’s assessment schedule for all grade levels.
