  • Register for The Stride - October 30th

    Register now for The Stride! The Stride is a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run even that focuses on bringing together Littleton Public Schools and the local community to promote health and wellness, as well as encourage school spirit. In its 21st year, The Stride is a fun and unique event benefiting the Littleton Public Schools Foundation. Event Date: Sunday, October 30, 2016 Location: Littleton Museum 6028 S.   • LPS moves to i-Ready Assessment in reading and mathematics for elementary students

    This fall, all students in grades Kindergarten through fifth will take the i-Ready diagnostic assessment in reading and mathematics. i-Ready is an online program that will help assess each student’s individual needs and monitor their progress throughout the school year. The assessment provider, Curriculum Associates, follows the highest level of student data privacy standards and are signators of the Student Data Privacy Pledge. The i-Ready assessments are closely aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards and provide teachers detailed information in the various domains of literacy and numeracy. The i-Ready results will become another piece of data that is reviewed along with classroom work, teacher observations and other achievement information in order to make the best instructional decisions possible for each student.   • DAC Membership for 2016-2017 School Year Is Open

    The District Accountability Committee (DAC) needs members to fill at-large seats for a two-year term, beginning this fall.  The DAC has some responsibilities mandated by Colorado statute and advises the Board of Education on various topics. Members regularly receive information about district programs and activities and serve as a communication link with schools and the community.  Interested applicants may download the application from the DAC page on the district website or contact Kerry Schaper, 303 347-3396 or kschaper@lps.k12.co.us, for more information.

  • ETAC Membership for 2016-2017 School Year is Open

    If you are interested in technology and would like to contribute ideas to technology initiatives in LPS, please apply to ETAC (Educational Technology Advisory Committee) today!  (For an explanation of the membership categories, please see the ETAC Membership section on the district website.    Ideas that have helped LPS become recognized as one of the most technologically advanced districts in America began with ETAC!   The ETAC committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month for two hours (6:00 - 8:00 PM) to provide vital advice on district technology. You do not need to be a technology expert to join the ETAC...you just need an interest in what technology can do for student learning.   If you have questions contact Gail Schillinger at 303-347-3350   *SPECIAL NOTE* This committee only meets 8 times throughout the school year.  Members are asked not to miss more than 2 meetings.

  • Register Now for the LPS Stride

      The Littleton Stride is just around the corner!!  Our Lenski kids, teachers and parents are so proud of that beautiful trophy and our school's commitment to health and wellness.  Let's win it again!!   When: Sunday, October 30th, 2016   Where: Event starts and finishes at Littleton Museum and winds through the beautiful residential community surrounding the park.   What: 5k and 10K run/walk or Kids Fun Run (registration for the Fun Run does not count towards our participation numbers)   There are 3 ways to register:   1.  Online at   runthestride.com (there is a small online registration fee).   Deadline: NOON Friday, October 28th.   2.  Paper registration: look for registration forms to come home in your child's backpack or click on  Registration Details to print another copy.  Simply fill them out, attach your check and return to school.  One signed registration form must accompany EACH participant. T-shirts and bibs will be distributed to your children the week before the race.        Deadline: Noon on Wednesday, October 19th   3. In stores: you can register in person at Boulder Running Company in Littleton or Greenwood Village (Arapahoe Road). You will receive your bib and shirts at that time.  Deadline: Tuesday, October 25th at 6:00 pm.   Please note: Only 5K and 10K registrations count towards our participation numbers.   • Food Drive - Get a Treat if Your Class Fills

    Lenski's Food Drive is in full swing!  Although we have received many generous donations over the past few weeks, Lenski donations are a little short in terms of how much we have collected in past years.   Please note all donated food contributes directly to students within our LPS community.  Please consider donating nutritious, easy to prepare, non-perishable foods with kid appeal.  For a list of suggested items, pleaseCLICK HERE. There is a special need for peanut butter/jelly, cereal, oatmeal, hearty granola/breakfast bars, and canned fruit & applesauce.   Please do not send glass and/or expired food. If possible, smaller cans are appreciated.    EACH CLASSROOM THAT FILLS ITS BOX BY FRIDAY,  OCTOBER 28th WILL RECEIVE A TREAT!!   Questions?  Please contact Shelley Reed  or Mackenzie Burford.

  • Volunteers Needed for Vision and Hearing

    We are looking for volunteers to help escort students to the Vision and Hearing Screening Bus at the front of the school on Monday, October 31 -Friday, November 4. The volunteer slots are 90 minutes each and will greatly assist us in getting all our wonderful children smoothly in and out of the Screning Bus.  All help is greatly appreciated.  Click here to volunteer.   Contact  Margo Ellis with any questions. 

  • Chipotle Fund Raiser Wed 10-26

    School Spirit Tastes Great  Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a Fundraiser to support Lenski Elementary. Come into the 7515 S. University Boulevard Chipotle on Wednesday, October 26from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Bring in a flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you're supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Lenski Elementary. To avoid lines, come early or order online and come pick up your order.  Just be sure to mention Lenski!!
