Year End Volunteers Needed
NEW!! Newton End-of-Year BBQ Presented by NMS Student Council: Wednesday, May 18 th Newton Student Council is looking for donations and parent volunteers for their ALL SCHOOL end of year BBQ. There will be carnival games, activities and lunch. They would greatly appreciate your help. Please check out the SignUpGenius link below.
Scholastic Book Fair : Hello book fair volunteers! This year the book fair will run from Monday, May 2nd to Friday, May 6th . We need volunteers to work cash register shifts during the school day (no experience necessary - the machines are very easy to use). We also need cupcake donations for the afterschool cupcake day Wednesday, May 4 th . To volunteer or for more info check out the following SignUpGenius link.
Run With The Knights: Tuesday, May 17 th Thanks to everyone that has already offered to volunteer to help the day of the race or to donate prizes for the kids. We do have a few remaining slots to fill for the day of the race so if you are available you can still sign up. There are also gift card prize donations needed as well. If you have signed up to donate gift cards/prizes please put them in an envelope with your name on them and you can drop them off at the front desk, give them to Mr. Blake or you can mail/drop off at Christine Sweetland's home at 6782 S Clayton Way, Centennial, CO 80122. This is such a wonderful event that the kids look forward to all year - we truly appreciate everyone that is donating a gift card or the day of the event.
Backpack Program: Please check out the new Newton Backpack Program SignUpGenius below. We have recently decided to help provide breakfast foods and perishable snacks to the clinic for kids in need since Newton does not provide breakfast at school. As always, we will continue to pack and distribute backpacks for weekend food needs.
BACKPACK PROGRAM VOLUNTEER AND DONATION SIGN-UP
School Clinic Volunteers: We are always looking for people to help out in the school’s clinic. You can volunteer for anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 hours during the shifts listed. The shifts are flexible. We just really need some help. NO SPECIAL EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING IS REQUIRED. Please check out the SignUpGenius link to see if you can squeeze us into your busy schedule.
