We are excited to engage in relevant and authentic learning for a special viewing of the upcoming Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024.  Students will be going out on the playground with approved viewing glasses from 12:30-12:50 p.m. to view the eclipse, with the peak viewing being at 12:40 pm. The students will be with their classrooms with guided learning from their teacher.  Students will not be going outside on recess from 11:30-2:00 to prevent students from viewing the sun without proper viewing glasses.

We would like to invite you to join us for this viewing experience.  Because it is difficult to plan for how many people may be joining us, we have created viewing locations for each grade level.

2nd and 5th: Upper South Playground

1st and 4th:  Lower South Playground

Kindergarten and 3rd:  North Playground

We will have extra viewing glasses available if you need them but don't hesitate to bring some old school viewing tools (colander, paper with hole punched in it, etc.) with you as it might be good for kids to see that you don't have to purchase something to be able to participate in this experience.  Please go straight to the playground for viewing, no need to check in at the office.
