Next Week's Schedule

Remember that Monday, September 1st is a holiday and Tuesday, September 2nd will be an Odd day.

Would You Like to Work at an Incredible Place?

EPIC currently has an opening for our EPIC Bookkeeper and an EPIC Campus Coffee Shop Manager (Kitchen Manager). The positions are currently posted on the LPS Human Resources Page, so we encourage anyone who may be interested to apply.

Cruz Long and Sofia Gonzalez, who have been an integral part of getting EPIC up and running over the last couple of years, will be moving on to start a new chapter in their careers.  We are grateful to their time, energy and love they have given to the EPIC students and staff.  We wish them all the best!

Concurrent Enrollment

A majority of courses at EPIC offer Concurrent Enrollment (CE) credit. Mr. Powers and Ms. Gobble are visiting classrooms with urgency to guide students through both the partner college application and the LPS-required forms needed for registration.

The deadline with our partner colleges is this Friday, August 29th—so we are working hard to ensure every student completes the process on time. Students will earn CE credits at no cost, as LPS covers the tuition.

Please note: applications require students to provide their Social Security number (SSN) or indicate their status if they are not U.S. citizens. We appreciate parent assistance in making sure students have their SSN available or a copy of it to enter during the application process.

It is also helpful if you ask your student to show you what they have completed so far. Your support can make the difference in getting everything submitted before the deadline.

If you have any questions, please reach out. Thank you for partnering with us to help you. If you have questions or need support with enrollment, contact one of our counselors based on Pathway:

EPIC Campus Parent Nights

A value of the EPIC Campus is to encourage students in their exploration of our pathways and the post-secondary opportunities available to them.  To support this value, the EPIC Campus will host three evening events this year, in lieu of traditional conferences.

  • On Monday, September 8, 2025, the EPIC Campus will host Student/Parent/Instructor Conferences from 5:30 - 8:00 pm.  These conferences are open to everyone,  and we strongly encourage conferences for students who are currently earning a C or lower in their class.   Our goals with these conferences are to answer questions about the learning experiences and the opportunities here at EPIC and to identify strategies to support the student’s learning and growth.   ***See the note below from our Work Based Learning Team about an important event for seniors and their parents!***

  • On Monday, November 3, 2025, the EPIC Campus will host Family Night  - What’s Next?  This evening will give students and families the opportunity to learn more about their pathway including course progressions and post-secondary opportunities.  These sessions will be led by our pathway instructors as well as our campus counselors and industry partnership coordinator.  All students and their families are invited!  More details will be shared later, and we ask that you mark November 3rd on your calendars!

  • In March, the EPIC Campus will host Family Night - What I’ve Learned.  This evening will give students the opportunity to share with their families what they have learned in their courses this year.  Students and families will spend time in classrooms where students will “show and tell” the many things they have done throughout the year.  We will share more information early in the second semester.

EPIC Campus’ Internship Information Night

Join us for EPIC Campus’ Internship Information Night on Monday, September 8th from 5:30–7:00pm to learn more about Spring semester internship opportunities. This session is

required for seniors interested in participating in the EPIC Internship Program, and parents are encouraged to attend. If you’re unable to make the evening session, an alternate morning meeting will be offered on Wednesday, September 10th from 7:30–9:00am. Sign-up will open next week, don't miss your chance to get started!

Parking Permit

If you have not done so already, you can pick up your Parking Permit in the front office of the  West Building. You will need to bring your Driver's License at the time of pick up. Times will be available before school/class starts, break time, after school/class ends. You may not pick up your parking permit during class hours. Thank you!

Student Fees

At the EPIC Campus we have two types of fees, uniforms and class fees.  All students are expected to have two uniforms, one of which must be a collared shirt.  Class fees are for consumable items used in class, i.e. lumber, aluminum, workbooks, etc.  Fees have been posted in Infinite Campus in your student’s account. If at any time a fee is a burden on a student and/or family, please connect with your counselor or an administrator.  We will work with you.

There are three ways to pay fees:

  1. Pay Online - Log in to your Infinite Campus to pay online with a credit card, checking or savings account ( a small service fee will apply)

  2. Send a Check - Make a check payable to EPIC Campus. Please include on the memo line your student's name or ID number and send payment to EPIC Campus, Attn: Bookkeeper, 190 E Littleton Blvd.  Littleton, CO 80121, or you can have your student drop the payment by the bookkeeper's Office in the West Building

  3. Send Cash - If you feel comfortable sending cash with your student, you are more than welcome to do that. Please have your student see me at the Bookkeeper's Office in the West Building  for cash payments

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us at 303-347-4300.

EPIC Career Connections & Work Based Learning

Architecture Design students exploring the world of Sketch-Up with a bathroom design. Students practice writing and drawing each day as warmups. “The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own, we have no soul of our civilization.” – Frank Lloyd Wright.

A woman with dark hair, wearing a navy blue polo shirt and white shorts, sits at a desk in an office. She is looking to her right at a computer screen. She has a laptop and a second monitor in front of her, and her right hand is on a computer mouse. A male teacher stands next to a student, looking at her computer screen at a desk with a laptop and an external monitor. A second student is also working at the same desk, while a third is visible in the background.

Teacher Cadets learned about diversity and literacy today. Mr Schuster from the ESC came and talked with the students about diverse classroom libraries. “Books are mirrors when readers see their own lives reflected in the pages. Books are windows when they allow readers a view of their lives and stories that are different from their own. Books become sliding glass doors when readers feel transported into the world of the story and when they feel empathy for the characters”- Rudine Sims Bishop

Two people are seated at a table in a classroom with a large display of children's books arranged between them. The woman on the left is looking toward the camera, while the woman on the right is looking away. A man in a white polo shirt stands at the front of a classroom, speaking to a large group of students seated at tables. An American flag hangs on the wall to the right of a whiteboard in the front of the room.

Computer Science students worked today on collaboration and communication. Partners described an object to the other who had to draw what was described. Software Engineering class worked on writing display functions for Pi game applications.

A teenage girl and boy are seated back-to-back in chairs, facing away from each other. The girl is writing on a paper while the boy is looking at his phone. A person with long dark hair is seated at a table, typing on a laptop with code visible on the screen. Two other male students are also at the table, one with blonde hair and the other with black hair, both working on their own laptops. A teacher with short gray hair and a black shirt is seated, facing a group of five male students who are standing around a computer table. The students are looking intently at the computer screen.

Construction 1 students sharpened their pencils so that they can work on their measuring skills. Tape measures and speed squares were essential!

Four male construction students are kneeling on the floor in a workshop, measuring a pair of long wooden boards with tape measures. They are all wearing bright yellow safety vests and green hard hats. A smiling female student wearing a neon yellow safety vest and goggles is seated at a workbench. She is holding up a large orange pencil in one hand and a utility knife in the other. A large group of construction students wearing green hard hats and yellow safety vests are standing in a circle in a workshop. They are doing stretching exercises together, with their arms extended in front of them.
