Announcing the Winner!

The coffee shop on the EPIC campus is envisioned as a unifying community hub for all students to connect, relax, and recharge between classes. To give this gathering space a true identity, we launched a Naming Challenge in November, encouraging student creativity and ownership. The response was impressive, with 56 unique entries submitted, representing all 7 pathways!

An 8-member judges panel of faculty, staff, and students had the difficult task of narrowing the field to the Top 3 teams. These finalists were invited to deliver an in-person pitch, detailing their name’s connection to EPIC’s mission, vision, and values. All students were also given the opportunity to cast their vote for the Top 3.

We are incredibly proud of the teams and the EPIC pride they demonstrated! A huge job well done to everyone involved!

AND THE WINNER IS! Crossroads Cafe - where paths meet and ideas brew

This team cast a vision of how crossroads are symbolic of so much of what EPIC is built on - choice, collaboration and connection, and how we all face crossroads in life as we explore what is next for our futures.

Stay tuned for updates on how this new identity will take shape in this campus hub as we kick off 2nd semester!

Course Registration for 2026-27

Current 9th - 11th graders will begin the course registration process at their home high schools after Winter Break. Students will request EPIC courses at the same time and in the same manner as they will courses at their home high school. Current EPIC students who have questions about what course(s) they should request are encouraged to talk with their instructor and/or the counselor for that pathway. More detailed information will be available when we return in January.

Semester 2 gets rolling!

While all attention is on Finals Week right now, we want to remind everyone that the second semester will start on Tuesday, January 6th. This will be an odd day at EPIC and at home high schools.

EPIC Students not returning for Semester 2

If you received an EPIC Campus Parking Permit, we will be collecting the EPIC Campus Parking Permit from you. Starting Friday, 12/12/2025 through 12/19/2025 you can drop off your parking permit to Bookkeeper Jody Luft in the front office. Also, if you will not be returning in Semester 2 and are willing to part with your EPIC gear, please drop off your shirts or hoodies at the front office during the week of December 15th and we will provide it to students in the second semester who may have financial constraints. Thank you for paying it forward!

Borrowed EPIC T-Shirts

For those students who have forgotten their EPIC t-shirt, we have EPIC t-shirts that they can borrow and then return after class. Unfortunately, we have had several students who have not returned their borrowed EPIC t-shirts. These t-shirts are grey and have a number on the tag. You and your students will have received an email if your student borrowed one that still needs to be returned. Please return the t-shirt to the EPIC Main Office as we have a limited supply. If we do not receive the t-shirt by 12/19/25, there will be a fee applied in Infinite Campus for any unreturned t-shirt. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Scholarship Opportunity

Colorado P.E.O. has established the Colorado State Scholarship Fund (CSSF) which is open to women who are high school seniors or have earned their GED. CSSF gives preference to women pursuing non-traditional or vocational areas of study. All high school senior females are eligible to apply though. Note that they must be attending an accredited program.

Last year, P.E.O. made 61 awards through CSSF, and amounts varied from $1,000 to $2,500. It is non-renewable. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2026. Applicants can also go to this web page https://coloradopeo.org/colorado-and-local-chapter-scholarships-1/ where there's an email link that they can use to request an application.
