Dear Hopkins Families,
As we prepare for a wonderful school year, we want to share some important information regarding birthday celebrations at Hopkins Elementary. In an effort to maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students, we strongly encourage non-edible birthday treats.
Teachers and students will still celebrate birthdays by singing "Happy Birthday," and each classroom may have its own plan for marking the occasion. If parents wish to distribute party invitations at school, we ask that invitations be given to every child in the class to ensure that no one feels left out.
Instead of edible treats, we invite you to consider thoughtful alternatives, such as a birthday book donation to the classroom, a pencil, a bookmark, or a small trinket bag.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our students while fostering positive birthday celebrations.
Warm regards,
Hopkins Administration
