LPS adminstrators mingle in EPIC Campus's great hall before breakfast

As the calendar turned to the final days of July, many Littleton Public Schools staff returned to campuses across the district with renewed energy and excitement for the upcoming school year. This week marked the official start of back-to-school preparations, and LPS educators and leaders hit the ground running with a full week of kickoff events, training, and collaboration.

The week began with the District Administrator Kickoff on Tuesday, where district leaders gathered to align their vision and priorities for the year ahead. The event was an opportunity to review the Board of Education’s Priorities that guide the district’s work and set the tone for 2025–2026 with a shared commitment to student and staff success. Emphasis was placed on LPS being a place of belonging for all, ensuring students and staff feel seen, connected, supported, and proud.

On Wednesday, school and district leaders rolled up their sleeves to dig into their building-specific data, focusing on achievement and engagement. These sessions helped leaders refine their plans and ensure every student starts the year with the support they need to thrive.

Thursday brought a focus on leadership development with a training day for some administrators, designed to equip them with the tools, resources, and support they need to lead with confidence and compassion.

The week wrapped up with one of our favorite traditions: the New Educator Breakfast on Friday morning. Hosted at EPIC Campus (with an excess of LPS spirit), the breakfast gave educators new to LPS a warm introduction to the district’s values, community, and deep sense of purpose. Laughter, connection, and inspiration were all on the menu!

With staff returning to buildings and classrooms in the coming days, the excitement is building across the district. We are ready to welcome students back on Tuesday, August 12, and begin a new year of growth, discovery, connection, and belonging.
