On Wednesday, December 10, the Littleton Public Schools Volunteer Office brought holiday cheer and community spirit together with a successful service project and festive cookie exchange. The event welcomed several of our district’s dedicated senior volunteers for a heartwarming afternoon of giving back.

As part of the project, senior volunteers partnered with LPS Security to wrap holiday presents for two LPS families who are in need of extra support this holiday season. Their efforts will ensure these families feel cared for and celebrated during the holidays.

In addition, the volunteers wrapped an incredible 136 handsewn quilts, each lovingly crafted by the LPS quilting group, a team made up entirely of volunteers. These stunning quilts will be distributed to students across many LPS schools, offering them not only a gift, but a symbol of care and connection from their community. These handmade treasures will help keep students warm on cold winter nights and remind them that they are supported and valued.

The LPS quilting group’s meaningful work is supported entirely by generous donations and the unwavering commitment of volunteers who love our schools, our students, and our community. Their creativity and compassion embody the spirit of the season, and the heart of LPS.
