The Student Spotlight segment of each Board meeting celebrates a student or a group of students who are living out the Portrait of an LPS Graduate, which highlights the life skills each LPS graduate should have. Tomorrow’s workers will succeed by constantly adapting to the changing world around them, and today’s students must begin by learning and developing life skills - where every student should be well-adjusted, thriving, and balanced.
Additionally, students will develop skills in:
Communication
Global and Cultural Awareness
Character and Critical Thinking
Problem Solving and Adaptability
Creativity and Risk Taking
Resiliency and Collaboration
Self Advocacy
All surrounding Rigorous and Relevant Academic Skills
In LPS, we strive to implement opportunities to grow these skills at every level of education, and we recognize students of all ages. At the April 23 Board of Education meeting, students from Field Elementary School and Euclid Middle School were recognized.
Field Elementary School

Cameron Rivera consistently shows strong CHARACTER through his caring, respectful, and responsible approach toward his schoolwork and interactions in our community. He is extremely dedicated to his academics, takes pride in his work, and puts in the effort to do his best in all areas. When working with classmates, he shares ideas, listens to others, and helps the group succeed. He is a natural leader who sets a positive example and brings out the best in those around him. Cameron truly exemplifies every aspect of the Portrait of an LPS graduate.
Brock Marshall-Kinne consistently shows strong CHARACTER and a real appreciation for others in all his actions. He is kind, polite, and respectful, and he makes it a point to include everyone, no matter their background or abilities, demonstrating his GLOBAL AND CULTURAL AWARENESS. He has an inclusive mindset and enjoys spending time with others. He connects easily with both his peers and adults. Brock’s genuine kindness and the way he treats people truly stand out. He brings a special energy to the school, and we’re lucky to have him as a Mustang.
Elnora Sahoo is a bright and curious kindergartener with a true love for learning. She enjoys exploring the world around her and will happily COMMUNICATE what she knows with anyone she encounters — whether it is explaining everything about rainbows or how the sun rises. Elnora demonstrates strong CRITICAL THINKING skills and often goes beyond what is expected. She conveys her ideas clearly to peers and adults, both verbally and in her writing. She brings such a positive energy to the entire school, and it is a joy to watch her curiosity and enthusiasm shine.
Malachi Campbell stands out for both his kindness and his academic strengths. He is empathetic, kind-hearted, and attentive to the needs of his peers. He’s been observed demonstrating this in small but meaningful actions, such as supporting classmates with diverse abilities, cheering them on, and being a consistent caring friend. In ACADEMICS, Malachi excels in all areas, from reading chapter books to heightened CRITICAL THINKING and PROBLEM SOLVING skills in math. In essence, Malachi is a student who shines in the classroom, both in his learning and in the way he cares for others.
Eidan Leija-Molina is confident, CREATIVE, and unafraid to be himself. He loves to sing and proudly shares his talent both at school and in his church, bringing joy to those around him with his sweet voice. He TAKES RISKS by performing in front of others and expressing himself openly. In addition to his vocal talents, he is kind, sweet, and respectful, and he takes pride in his culture, his language, his abilities, and his beliefs. He is a joy to have at Field and a wonderful example of being true to yourself.
Andrew Ruiz is a natural leader both in the classroom and in the school. He has a unique personality and is confident in being his authentic self. He brings a positive energy to those around him and is known for his humor and ability to connect with others. His CHARACTER also carries over into his learning, where he demonstrates RESILIENCY in overcoming challenges and has shown strong dedication in his work. We are excited to see him continue to grow and excel!
Euclid Middle School

Ryan DiCola is a leader at Euclid whose collaborative work helps bridge middle school and high school band programming. The Heritage Indoor Percussion group was in the middle of their season and she jumped in to help on many occasions. She also helped out with the Marching Band in the fall. She builds props, works on costumes, and moves equipment from the trailers to the gym floor on competition days. She dedicates hours of her personal time in all of these pursuits, and Heritage parents and students were continually in awe of her positive attitude, maturity, and flexibility! Euclid Middle School sees that same leader every day. She is a kind classmate to her peers who works to bring others together, proving her CHARACTER as an authentic and talented individual who thinks of others. She works to make our school and district a better place through her hard work and creativity as a model of a portrait of an LPS future graduate.
Sergio Cifuentes Parra is a beacon of light in the Euclid hallways, exuding kindness, curiosity, and RESILIENCY. He is exceptional in his ability to connect and COMMUNICATE with all people he meets, and he puts this skill to use as one of the student assistants in the main office. As a phenomenal communicator in both English and Spanish, there have been countless times when he has jumped in to help when families needed interpreter support. This year, Sergio also proved to be resilient and ADAPTABLE when he faced an injury. He did not let a gnarly ankle sprain slow him down. His contagious smile never left his face. He zoomed around on a scooter and found a way to overcome the setback and continue on with his learning and leading. His positive attitude then and now continues to inspire his peers and make Euclid stronger. This dedication and commitment to school and community demonstrate a true Portrait of an LPS Graduate.
Owen Spencer is a naturally curious and CREATIVE thinker. Whether he is doing math or reading a novel, learning chemistry, playing the trumpet, or discussing history and current events, Owen approaches his work with insight, dedication, and humor. Teachers might comment that Owen pushes himself, but it is out of a genuine love of learning that goes across disciplines, demonstrating his RIGOROUS AND RELEVANT ACADEMIC SKILLS. Additionally, Owen has great relationships with peers, getting along with all students rather than sequestering himself in only one group, as is so common in middle school. Owen comes to school each day with an infectious, positive attitude. He is a leader in class discussions, asking deep questions and connecting ideas in a sophisticated way. In his own time, Owen is teaching himself to code (you can play his game Broski Bob online). Owen reflects the LPS Portrait of a Graduate and we look forward to watching him continue his path of success.
Anthony Shvaibovich is the very picture of an LPS Graduate. He is a CREATIVE and caring young man who shares his talent for leadership with others in the community. He is actively involved in Euclid’s Latinos in Action program, where he mentors elementary school students in the Littleton community. He forms positive peer relationships by doing arts and crafts, playing games, and reading together with younger students. Anthony is also a hardworking member in the Euclid music program in band, and shows creativity and intelligence in the classroom. In social studies class, his group created a dramatic performance of the Lincoln Douglas debates for their National History Day project in which Anthony played former Senator, Stephen A. Douglas. Both his argumentative and oratory skills demonstrated his RISK-TAKING, and he brought excerpts from the difficult 19th century text to life for his peers in a recreated debate structure. Anthony is a collaborator, a creative thinker, and an important asset to the Euclid Middle School community. He truly embodies the idea “Every Falcon, A Leader”!
Jolie Midtbo and Finley Aguero decided they wanted to make a difference and planned Euclid’s first ever pep assembly for their peers. They noticed that Euclid is full of spirit, but students needed a way to channel it. As the genuine PROBLEM-SOLVERS they are, these two girls became RISK-TAKERS, dedicating much of their time to planning this exciting event. They met with many adults over a few months to get approval; they wrote a detailed script; they planned creative and fun events; they created a schedule for the school day; they even emceed the assembly! Their actions started a chain reaction. Euclid now has another pep assembly planned for the spring because the first one was such a success. Jolie and Finley demonstrated what it means to embody the Portrait of an LPS graduate through their dedication to the school community, risk-taking with a new challenge, and creativity in executing a fun and exciting assembly. Their actions will have a lasting impact for years to come. They demonstrate what it means to be future LPS Graduates who will continue to have an impact on their school communities and beyond. We can’t wait to see what they will do in high school!
