Littleton High School received a remarkable boost on Friday, June 5, as approximately 80 volunteers came together through Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools initiative to complete campus improvements focused on safety, security, and beautification.

The one-day project brought together Convergint employees, industry partners, and community volunteers who donated their time, expertise, and resources to help enhance the student experience at Littleton High School.

As part of the project, volunteers installed new security technology, including upgraded cameras and a new server, while also completing significant landscaping and campus beautification improvements. In total, more than $100,000 in materials and labor was donated, along with professional installation coordinated with LPS Operations and Security. The LPS Volunteer office also worked with Convergint on logistics and clearances for the day.

“We are incredibly grateful to Convergint, its partners, and every volunteer who dedicated their time and talents to Littleton High School,” said Brad Leitner, LPS’s Chief Operations Officer. “Their generosity helped make important improvements possible that will benefit our students and staff for years to come.”

The timing of the project was especially meaningful as school districts across Colorado continue to face financial challenges and difficult budget decisions. The donated equipment and volunteer labor allowed LPS to accelerate improvements that may otherwise have taken much longer to complete.

Founded in 2018, Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools program provides no-cost security technology, installation services, and volunteer support to selected K–12 schools. The initiative focuses on enhancing school safety while strengthening community partnerships and supporting student success.

Beyond the security enhancements, volunteers worked throughout the day to improve the appearance of the Littleton High School campus, creating a more welcoming environment for students, staff, families, and visitors.

The project serves as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when businesses, community organizations, and volunteers come together in support of public education.

Littleton Public Schools extends its sincere thanks to Convergint, its industry partners, and the volunteers whose hard work and generosity made this extraordinary day possible. Their investment in Littleton High School reflects a shared commitment to creating safe, welcoming, and inspiring learning environments for all students.
