Dear LPS Families and Staff,
The following message was shared with the Littleton High School and Options Secondary communities earlier today.
We want to make you aware that the Littleton Police Department (LPD) has released information about an arrest and ongoing investigation of a former Littleton Public Schools employee. LPD is assisting the Fort Collins Police Department (FCPS) with the investigation. Please read their official release for more information.
On September 4, 2026, FCPS arrested a former Littleton Public Schools employee, Adam Williams, on charges related to the online exploitation and luring of a child. As in all legal proceedings, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
We want to clarify that the events leading to Mr. Williams’s arrest did not occur during the time he was employed by Littleton Public Schools and did not occur in Arapahoe County. We also have no information that Mr. Williams engaged in any improper conduct with any student or any other member of the LPS community.
In 2025, Mr. Williams was placed on administrative leave after the LPD opened an investigation based on a report of possible criminal conduct. LPD subsequently determined that there was no probable cause that Mr. Williams committed any crime. LPS confirmed that the report was not from an LPS student or anyone else affiliated with LPS.
Though Mr. Williams’s arrest falls outside our immediate jurisdiction and employment window, we believe in transparency and want to ensure our community is informed.
