A student walks down a school hallway towards a pointing child; overlaid text reads "SAFE SCHOOLS MONTH" with the Littleton Public Schools logo.

Creating safe, welcoming schools is something we all contribute to every day. In Littleton Public Schools, we want every student to feel safe, supported, valued, and ready to learn.

October is Safe Schools Month in Colorado, an opportunity to highlight the many ways students, staff, families, and community members work together to support safety, wellbeing, and belonging across LPS.

We’ll share events, activities, important information, and helpful resources that support safe and successful learning environments. Whether it’s building strong relationships, caring for one another, or knowing where to turn for support, each of us has a role in helping our schools remain places where students can belong, learn, and thrive.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep LPS schools safe, supportive, and welcoming for all.

16th Annual LPS Poetry Slam

All LPS high school students are invited to participate in our 16th Annual Poetry Slam event focused on healthy self-expression. The Poetry Slam will be held at Options High School on November 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Interested students should contact their English Department for more information.

Immunization Compliance

For our students’ health and safety and as required by the state of Colorado and LPS board policy, we are required to have a current immunization record or exemption on file for all students.

Compliance with the immunization expectations is required for enrollment and attendance in LPS schools unless the student has a valid exemption for medical or non-medical reasons.

Per state law and LPS board policy, students who remain non-compliant with their immunizations will be excluded from school beginning November 6, 2026.
