The East Community Center’s Third Annual Community Resource Expo brought families, community organizations, volunteers, and Littleton Public Schools staff together for a morning focused on connection, collaboration, support, and fun.
Approximately 175 people attended the event, where 48 organizations and programs gathered to share information, connect families with valuable resources, and build relationships with one another.
While those numbers are worth celebrating, the true impact of the Community Resource Expo extends far beyond attendance.
A conversation between two organizations may lead to a new partnership. A connection made at a table may create a new referral pathway for families. Someone may discover a service they didn’t know was available or take home information they will turn to months from now when they need support.
Those connections are at the heart of the East Community Center and its work to bring people and resources together.
The event was also made possible by generous support from across the Littleton community. The Littleton Elks Lodge provided free food for attendees, helping give the morning a celebratory atmosphere. The Littleton Rotary Club provided tote bags so families could easily collect information and resources throughout the expo. LPS’s own Nate Thompson, director of social, emotional, and behavior services, served as DJ, bringing music and his own unique brand of positivity to the event.
LPS Communications helped spread the word about the expo, while volunteers from student groups, LPS staff, and the community contributed their time throughout the day, from setup through the arrival of the weekend rainstorms.
The East Community Center extends its sincere thanks to every organization, volunteer, community partner, staff member, and attendee who helped make the third annual event a success.
By sharing resources, strengthening partnerships, and creating new connections, the Community Resource Expo demonstrated what can happen when people come together in support of students, families, and the broader community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Third Annual Community Resource Expo a celebration of community and connection!
