“It’s not just what you make—it’s what you keep.” Today, the Investing and Financial Management class got a masterclass in tax efficiency from Debbie Freeman of Peak FiIt’snancial Advisors. The takeaway? If you’re planning on a finance career, don’t sleep on Accounting! Debbie (a CPA herself) showed us how tax strategy is the backbone of smart investing.

Our Investing & Financial Management students spent the week leveling up for a special visit from the team at Empower. Today, that preparation met opportunity. Students got an inside look at what it’s really like to work at a top-tier firm and even sat in the “hot seat” as our guests posed real-world interview questions. There’s nothing like practicing with the pros to get career-ready!

EPIC Campus hosted our first ever Future Educator Career Information Night on Monday. Our Future Educators met with industry, post secondary institutions, camps, and recreation. Additionally, students engaged in networking and professionalism. Our educators hit all three Future Educator goals:
-to spark interest in the education profession by giving students early, hands-on access to what it means to work in education.
-to give students a better understanding of education as a career pathway
