Yesterday, at our first annual CS is EPIC night, students explored game hacking, cutting edge AI demos, light up wearables, drone soccer, and a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition. Future Educator Teacher Cadets spent time learning about high quality instructional materials from our district partners. Students had hands-on experience seeing the difference HQIM makes so that all learners have access to deeper learning.

EPIC Construction 2 Crews working extra hard to practice sustainability through planned disassembly rather than rough demo. We’re learning to maximize & recycle our resources while building. The material will be reused for framing walls and roofs on our bathroom models in preparation for plumbing and electrical.

EPIC CNA students are learning how to take manual blood pressure. Blood pressure is one of the vital signs and is an important indicator of overall health. Students learned about why we measure blood pressure, why a patient might have a higher or lower pressure, and what to do if it is abnormal. Now, they get to practice taking the measurement!

EPIC Campus computer science students have designed their inventions and are bringing them to life with Python. Projects range from self-driving robots, a ticker that summarizes technology news, a binary clock and more. In the networking class, students are engineering enterprise networks complete with routers, switches, and servers.
